Is IFS always at Quantico

Does IFS always have to be completed at Quantico or in Virginia? Can I do it at home at an FAA certified airfield? Thanks

1) Quantico is in Virginia
2) Unfortunately the likely answer to your question is no, IFS is either done in Q-co or in P-cola...

Yeah, I keep lumping Manasas in with Quantico...hell thats where you are based from anyway...

Most likely you will get to choose where you do IFS in P-Cola. You are lumped in with the Navy when you class up for IFS in Fl. The way they choose who goes where is the ones with the earliest commission dates get first pick. Since we go through TBS and the Navy is usually direct from commissioning, we luck out for once. Also, something else to consider. If you do IFS in FL, you will get an earlier class date for API. (at least that is how they are working the pool now)

Most likely you will get to choose where you do IFS in P-Cola.

You might have some input in the matter, that doesn't mean you get to choose. For a few classes, all SNFOs (Navy and Marine) were being sent to Destin.

yeah, i did mine at eglin... had the colonel.. finished those 25 hours in like 7 days... but hell... pensacola really beats living in q-town! go surf.
