Is the **** about to hit the fan?

I need a quick question answered because I am taking the ASTB tomorrow morning and I think i might be in trouble. I have been studying lightly for the past 2 weeks or so that I am not completely blow out of the water by the test. During my physics sessions I have basically been studying conceptual ideas from the gouge with the F-18 on the front. The problem started when i tried to take a physics pratice test out of my newly purchased Arco OSC book. All the physic questions are heavy number based. Is the test going to be number crunching like the OSC guide book's practice test or more like the Gouge with the emphasis being on the actually theories?

Thanks,

The mechanical section is primarily non number based if i recall. I remember a few questions regarding hydraulics, etc, using simple fractions. If you are comfortable with the math section, you should possess enough skill to perform the physics computations (if they exist).

-in any instance, if you understand the gouge that you are using well, you should be all set.... Worst possible thing you can do is go in to the test worrying.

Just go in calm, cool, and collected, and BUDGET YOUR TIME, and im sure you'll do fine.

Good points. Also just keep in mind that any math needed is fairly light. Its stuff that can EASILY be worked out on the paper provided. Just make sure that you are good with your concepts and theories, and the math should work its way out.

I think you're pretty much screwed. If you can't derive the volume of a sphere using calculus or determine the half life of a radioactive isotope, you're gonna have problems. They don't tell you this kind of stuff up front because that's how they weed people out.

Note: Above comments are extremely sarcastic in nature. You will be fine. Back when I took the test, I found the practice tests to always be more difficult than the actual.

I share that sentiment. Especially in the english section. Now go tear that test up.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
"the ASTB is essentially moron-proof. If you fail it over and over, well, somebody needs to manage the McDonald's of the world."

Note: Above comments are extremely serious in nature. You will be fine. Back when I took the test, I found the test to be a joke.
