Congratulations candidate! I know the feeling. The first paycheck is almost as sweet.

You probably don't know when you're classing up yet, but when do you graduate?

Congrats oztin. I am gradutating in 09 and I want to apply for BDCP SNA. What were your stats and what kind of problems did you run into along the way?

Well with my stats first... I attend ERAU in florida.. have a 3.5 gpa have one year left. my ASTB scores were not that good. i have a oar of 55 and 6/7/7 on the other stuff. My prt was pretty good. I was active in school. Played on the golf team. Was a president of two clubs.

For my problems. I had just about everything that could go wrong go wrong. It took me a year from the time i first talked to my recruiter till the time i got my final select. One of my problems was i didnt know the address of one of my jobs i had when i was 15 and they had gone out of bussiness so they didnt even exist anymore. and by the time they figured that out it took a month. I had a ton of issues with my EPSQ. Most were not my fault but the systems fault. An example would be the fax the recruiters sent up wasnt clear. The finger print cards smeared. I actually had to make 4 cards in all for both hands. It was kind of crazy. Then i would need someone to sign somthing and they wouldnt be in. They were on vacation for the next 3 weeks. Most of my problems were no my fault or anyone else fault except thats just how things turned out for me in the end. some advice would be make copys of everything you fill out for yourself. Things happen and papers get stuff spilt on them or lost in the mail or messed up by the fax machine. And make sure you talk to your recuiter alot. If you bother them enough they will just get you through as quick as they can cause they dont want to talk to you anymore... dont be rude just persistent

Do you guys know if it helps to get LOR's from professors? I mean, what kind of people should I pursue getting letters from?

Well i have heard alot of different stuff on this. I dont think it really makes that big of a deal if you have it from senators. I didnt have any. i think the best LORs are from people who have served. And it helps if the served in the department you are applying for.
