Did anyone of you "old farts" (Hughie? John?) know J.D. Meyer, was CO of VQ1 and VQ2 years ago? I recently met his son (Curtis), he and I were chatting a few hours ago and all this Navy stuff came up during idle conversation. It started with the local temperature and humidity and then on to me mentioning Yuma bombing practice and the heat with no humidity. Curtis then began telling me all about his father. I mentioned AW and told him I'd post this thread for him.
