Hello,

Just wanted to see if any of you are reporting to OCS June 28th.

Also, does anyone know how many miles maximum we'll run each day and if we'll be running every single day?

Thanks for your time.

The longest run I had was about 3 miles long. Generally there were 3 run days and 3 beat days a week. Sunday is off. Sometimes the beat days had sprints.

We did a 5K, everyday minus sunday and some cardio days. They start you at 1.5 then towards the end you are doing 2-3 miles. Sometimes the cardio workouts were worse than running I think. Also, "it pays to be a winner" sprints suck imo unless of course, youre a winner....

Depends on if you are in the rabbit, medium or slug run group.

You'll start out running 1.5 mi 3-4 days a week, then go to 2.2 mi 3-4 days a week. There were 2 3 mile runs on Saturdays that were "at your own pace" [not really], but I personally missed both due to having watch. There are 3 running groups, and, depending on the DI, that might condense into two later on in training. Our class team ensured that all our run times improved significantly. So long as you can pass the in-pfa and have a mind to endure the growing pains of improving, you'll be fine.

The runs are on a shitty road with potholes and hills, so expect leg pains.

Thanks guys for the info. Looks like I'm the old lady of the group so far (25).
My class age average age is ~25-26.

We had a girl take spill on that road, right at the beginning of the IN PFA. She rolled to H for a few weeks, then DOR'd. I'll be graduating before she gets out of student pool. WARNING: Watch for holes, and other canidates.

Fastest way out of OCS is to commission.

Actually, I guess the fastest way is dying, but YMMV.

I ran my first PFA 10:32 the cutoff for the fast group was 10:45 then...man that sucked being the slowest fast guy (9:14 on the last one though)
