Asking for a word of advice.
Background:
I got an 81 on my asvab and I have just started talking to the local OSO. I am scheduled for my ASTB on June 1st. I have to retake my SAT because my scores are low, but he wanted to see them anyways. I have a 2.9 GPA and that's going to go up (for sure). I have used drugs (not just weed), but I have not touched those, and I have not taken a drink in 8 months. I have volunteered at church and worked on the school newspaper. I am an assistant running coach at my place of work and I am a peewee supervisor. I have seen counselors and stuff for family BS (no sob story here). I have been diagnosed ADHD and took meds for it (I won't ever take those again). I have traffic tickets (many fix-it tickets and speeding. I got a red light ticket dropped and a speeding as well.) and a possession of marijuana ticket that was dismissed.
Now that the confession is over, I have a couple of questions :icon_tong
I wrote these things down on the preliminary background because I will not tell a lie.
Am I DQ'ed?
Appropriately, how often can I call the OSO?
I have a strong desire to be a part of this elite organization, but if I can't be, there are other routes I can travel.
