What has been rumored for months is now apparently true, Venezuela is going to buy some Flankers.

"Chavez was later expected to fly to Moscow to sign a series of major Russian weapons contracts. Russia's defense minister said Friday the nation would sell Venezuela 30 Su-30 fighters jets and 30 helicopters in a deal worth more than $1 billion."

If they're smart, they'll also be hiring some unemployed Russian pilots to bring a little knowledge over with them. It will be interesting to see how many they crash in the first 2 years or so.
