Does anyone know anything about the Law route? Do you have to go to Law School then apply, or can you apply as Ground or something and then go Law later? I think I will probably do Ground, but I am slightly interested in Law as well. I also assume that Law is pretty competitive to get into. Just curious as to what people know about it. Thanks.

Every law dog I've ever met went to OCS during college, got commissioned, and then went to law school. I don't think they were getting paid active duty during this time, but they showed up to TBS as 1stLts, and made Capt soon. Talk to your OSO about it.

Short Story:

PLC Law = Need to be accepted and enrolled in law school. Go to OCS get commissioned go to law school unpaid, pay for school yourself. Graduate law school go to TBS. Advantage= Three years time in service with regular promotion schedule.

Funded Law = Get commissioned do a job Ground or air - several four years, Apply, go to law School on governments dime. Do a Pay back tour as a Lawyer several four years. (very competitive)
