Good riddance. Building an effective Frigate should be an easy task yet Big Navy turns them into engineering mutants by the time they lay the keel. Perrys had the aluminum superstructure cracks near the XO's cabin and the Diesels were V-8 bolted together with splined/joined camshafts. Oh never mind, you get the picture. Someone should buy one of these USS Minnows and moor it near a different Naval Base each year. Turn into a floating TT bar and Club. Discounted rates for special command events etc.. It's just MWR money, right?

LCS CDRE is gonna be pissed! He was fighting this all last year, trying to prove to the admirals that 1-4 are capable ships. They should be deploying to 4th Fleet for Counter Narcotics work or OMSI. Scrapping them outright is dumb. It's not the best ship we've ever made, but we've got them and we have fully equipped, trained crews on them. 2/4 have recently participated in large scale exercises with helo dets at times when 6/8/10/12/14 were broken or unable for scheduling reasons.

Whatever.

I was looking at the individual ships info on Wikipedia and it appears that none have actually deployed in several years, the source is what it is, however I am wondering if that is accurate that this has been in the works for a few years.
