Leaving an ROTC contract

I had wondered aloud about this here a few months back, and since then I've had some experience.

I am a 2nd-year AFROTC scholarship winner (sold my soul for rock and roll, they own me) applying for BDCP. After some checking, my recruiter found that I was still eligible, I just had to submit a conditional release form.

Not sure, but I hope this helps anyone out there in a similar position.

FWIW, you are going to be hurting real bad back at your Det. if you don't get picked up by the Navy. They won't like that you tried to jump ship, and it will make getting a rated slot much more difficult. Also, it honestly may be pretty hard to get a conditional release.

Good luck.

Truth be told, it's not about flying. I've spoken with my commander, however, to keep him in the loop. He's prior Army and has been very understanding
