Making an Informed Selection: Jets, Helos, Tiltrotor or Maritime

I am currently in Primary and I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what to select. I'm not dead set on anything and know I'll be happy regardless of what I end of flying, but I'd rather not just leave it up to chance. I want to make an informed decision but I'm having trouble getting information. I know I need to talk to my IP's, but I usually have more immediate concerns on my mind, and only rarely do I get to fly with a Marine.

Would someone please let me know where I can find the following information or share from your own experience:

- Average flight time
- Average length and types of deployments (MEUs, etc.)
- Likelihood of getting into TPS
- Likelihood of getting a FAC tour
- etc.

Besides the info you will get here, you should have a mentor since you're a Marine. If you're truly not flying with Marines and you're past Fams (Fams will severely limit who you fly with), talk to your mentor or even STUCON.
