Final Select Supply Corps
After 1 1/2 years of "Hey Chief, got the results? Hey Chief, are my results in? Chief? Chiiiiiiief?", I was fortunate enough to be picked up by the March 2011 Supply Board. The call from my OR took me by surprise (I completely forgot I was in for a board...) and had me shaking.
I posted a similar thread on usnavyocs.com, but know that many of the friends I made on AW do not cross-pollinate. Therefore, in my best Andrew Gold Golden-Girls esque sentiment, "Thank you for being a friend(s)." I couldn't have done it without the support, guidance and venting on these forums.
I faced MANY challenges, from closed boards and required waivers to misplaced paperwork and the like. My BEST advice for anyone in my situation with the chips stacked against them is to "make friends." Know your OR. Call him up to say hey, hell...just pop in. Same with the processor and other members of the NRD.
