I have always been under the impression the Harrier cant fly supersonic, this article says it can. I looked at the USMC info on the web and it doesn’t say. The MFR lists its max speed at 1.0 mach. Is this just a capability on the limit of the envelope, so its possible, but no reason to stay at transonic speeds, or is this outside of its limits entirely?

If you ever see a Harrier flying Mach 1+, go the other way, because something is wrong.
