Marine NFO career

Hello,

I've always wanted to fly, but due to my eyesight it seems the closest I'll get is a shot at an NFO contract (PRK not possible, strabismus). It seems like a great career, one that I'd like to devote my time to pursuing, but the Marine Corps seems to be adopting the JSF and phasing out those fighters that actually use an NFO. Any comment on this? What do you think will happen to the NFOs when the Marine Corps adopts a single-seat fighter? Will their careers just end?

Thanks

Search. Topic has been discussed ad-nauseum. Right now, USMC NFO's are relevant. If you want to fly and don't mind not being at the controls, apply. Simple as that. But to answer your question more fully, search and ye shall find.
