Marine shirt ?

Here's another weird one for ya.

My dad bought me a Marine PT shirt from the surplus store. I'm a little wary about wearing it when I workout, because I'm not yet a Marine. Do you think that I should stash the shirt or is it acceptable for me to were it without being looked at by those in uniform as a "poser," for lack of a better word.

My OSO gave me a few USMC shirts when I was applying. I wore them during PT without incident. There is nothing wrong with you showing your support, and I doubt that anyone would object to that.

I would object more to your usage of the word "were" vice "wear," than actually wearing the shirt.

Besides, once you actually become a hominus-dominus full-fledged Marine you won't wear "Oorah Yut Yut" Marine Corps shirts anymore anyway.

Whatever, Huey, I know you still wear your MCT "Camp Devil Dog" sweatshirt with pride, along with your corfam shoes and horseshoe haircut.

Motivator.

And who can forget about the "Beat-Me-Up" jackets they sell at MCT. I cant believe people actually bought those things.

Think of it as semi-active recruiting. Just make sure you dont look like a pansy working out (Run fast, lift well, ect).

I didn't know Marines were allowed to PT in anything other than a green t-shirt 2 sizes too small and green running shorts 3 sizes too small.

The silkies may look small, but they are actually very well tailored. The uniform regulations clearly state that the silkies are to be "form fitting, so as to give the appearance of smuggling grapes".
