Masters Degree for OCS Naval Aviation

I'm working on my master's right now with an expected graduation of next spring. I am also working on my packet for OCS (hopefully will submit when I graduate.) Will a higher education degree, my masters for example, increase my chances of being selected?

It depends on what designator, and even then it depends on what the Masters is in.

Basically courses to teach and present history to the public. How to work with the public, speak to them, write history etc. usually sets you up to be an archivist or curator.

Interesting. I've been trying to figure out what to get my Master's in. Sounds like it'd be interesting. Though since you're trying to join the Navy, I'd guess that answers the question about job prospects... I keed.

If you're trying to go into aviation, it's ASTB scores over all. Everything else, it depends on what community you're trying to get into.

Having a masters degree will help a bit but the ASTB scores and passing a physical are the two biggest factors for Aviation.
