Math on the ASTB

For those of you that need a refresher on math and word problems like the ones on the ASTB, go get this book. This is the single best resourse I have found for the math section word problems. Some of the topics it covers are: Agelbra, Geometry, Probability,Ratios, and Fractions.
It explains the concepts and formulas in easy to understand terms. Lots of practice questions too.

Costs like 8 bucks at Barnes.

I think the paper/pencil aspect is what throws people for a loop the most. Does the book cover any hints and pointers?

By "paper/pencil" do you mean doing math long-hand? Yes, it shows ridiculously easy formulas to get the answer you need for the ASTB. The cliff notes books liked to turn a fairly easy problem into rocket science, this does not. The ARCO book is good but this attacks the math side more in depth.
