You can only take the ASTB 3 times... presumably after the 3rd non-select you may have run out of options to improve your package. From my understanding, you can apply an unlimited amount of times...

Yes, you can only take any given version of the ASTB 3 times, but this is not by any means the only way you can improve your package. The astb is just a small slice of the whole pie dude. A higher GPA, new major, extracuricular activities, leadership positions, flight hours, other random accomplishments, new jobs held, higher prt score, etc etc etc are all huge things that can make your package shine and make you a better candidate.

There is no limit to how many times you can apply for a commission. My advice is just to make sure each time you apply your package is at least a little bit better, even by a certain degree. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. If you want it bad enough, eventually you will get it.

The question is about BDCP Scottiedoo

My recruiter told me I could reapply as many times as I like if I don't get accepted

Age limits would be the only thing that could limit you for OCS. I think 27 is the limit, but a waiver can be issued, maybe?

27 is the max for pilot and NFO and there is only an age waiver for prior active duty service.

Apply as many times as necessary until you are too old as long as each new app is improved somehow. There is no limit. If after applying 3 times your recruiter tells you that you have applied the max number and are done, he is trying to tell you something. Maybe you are simply not the quality candidate you think you are. He is just too much of a candy a$$ to tell you that with a 2.5 in Phys Ed, a DWI, marginal PRT scores and 25 years old your dream is dead.
