Final Select SNA -- January 5 OCS
Just thought I'd get the gossip wheels rolling about when the selection boards will convene... My app got sent out this morning, which is a scoche late for the May boards, as he said they will be convening on the 15th.

Happy gossiping...

Well, I hope he is correct, but I will tell you... They ALWAYS say it's the 15th. That being said, it appears that date has a variance of +/- 15 days.

Who knows, maybe May will actually be an exception?

I have family that knows a retired-recruiter and they mentioned it might be one of these things...

1) Too many applicants
2) Not enough applicants

Just a friendly reminder to those who haven't been part of the military yet, there is paper work for paper work. All of the paper work falls under the the same process called "Hurry up and Wait!" Followed by subsection "Wait some more."

It is what it is, get use to it if your planning on a military tour!

Yes, an officer program is something to be excited about, but to worry about things is pointless. Talk to your OPO and get the information you need, and go on with life. NOTE: Your OPO can only give the information he/she knows.

Just so their is no question of who I am, look at my screen name, if you can't figure it out, PM me and I'll explain. Thanks to airwarriors for providing a great site. Just for the record, I was Pro Rec'd for SNA, SNFO, and SWO in April! Hooo Yaaah!

I asked my recruiter about the deadline for this month and he said everything had to be in by the 15th. (Crossing fingers, conditional releases are tricky and timed consuming for some reason).

My app went out on Monday night and the recruiter said it needed to be in by Monday or Tuesday. I suppose I'll just drink until I find out, and then drink some more when I do find out...

I'm up for this month's Intel board, and my recruiter told me it would be next Wednesday. Not sure how that helps any of you, but it's nice for me to know.

Awesome. I'm applying for Intel as well. My recruiter told me that the boards will be meeting next week, but he didn't say which ones. I sent in my app last month but it was a few days too late so I've been waiting for a while.
