How many single guys are stationed at MCAS New River and not on deployment? I only ask because I'm the only single officer on ADVON, and last weekend was kinda boring... Looking for something to do this weekend...

Uhhh transfer to the west Coast. Just kidding well sort of

Too many hot chicks there. I like to live somewhere where the women are all married to Marines, or are Marines themselves. Just kidding, but it is true about J-actionville!

The Mirage draining your pocketbook too fast?

Funny you should mention... I did the "Strip Club 500" the first weekend I was back. Started at Driftwood, ended up at Tobies (figured I'd be drunk enough not to notice). Man, Monday's the wrong day to go. There was a chick in Tobies with a knee brace on! JV Team all the way...

Books-A-Million. Barnes and Noble is way too high class for us.

Ah, Jacksonville... Such fond memories of my MCT days. Two cops threatening to bust us for underage drinking in a motel, then 'confiscating' our booze; One of the guys in my fireteam setting a tree by the same motel's pool on fire; The same guy then trying to put it out with piss; Adventures at Driftwood... The list goes on and on.

God I love the West Coast so much more.

We need an MCAS in PR, that's what we need. Fine latin women, fine PR rum, fine warm beaches, and fine rum-crazed gringas... Could it get much better?

I agree wholeheartedly, although after the whole Rosy Roads thing, don't expect it anytime soon! I'm an East Coast guy, born and raised. I love the area, at least I can drive to nice places! Depending on when you went through MCT, Jacksonville is not the same.

When I got East Coast orders, I groaned, also remembering my days in MCT. Although in addition to the Driftwood, we never got busted by the cops for underage drinking in a motel. However, for some reason 6 guys decided to get one hooker. I was one of the 6 but chickened out when she actually showed up. What a steely eyed killer, huh? When I got here, I was shocked that Jacksonville had grown up. It's still not great, but it's better than it was in '92...

I remember when three Jar heads got arrested for climbing up a water tower and somehow jumping in to swim... something like that back in 95-96.

Is Walmart still the best thing that happened to J'ville?

Also, Golden Corral was the most packed place to eat after a payday.
