MEC/Drill Competitions

So...anybody know of/go to any good MEC/drill competitions?

Just curious on the word on which one's are run well, that sorta thing.

The only one that I'm aware of that any real number of schools attend is the Mardi Gras one. The fact that it is held the week before Mardi Gras ends, in New Orleans, has nothing to do with it. It's all about the drill :)

I just got back from the Cornell MEC. I'm the color guard commander for BU. The MEC was very well run, everything went smooth, and oh boy was it comfortable sleeping on that gym floor on friday night.

I'd vote for Cornell too. My Unit went there every year I was there; it's a very well run meet.

I actually went a few times to the Cornell meet when I went to school there... not as a participant, but a lot of my friends were taking part. Just found it interesting that you all mentioned it here... not much talk bout Cornell outside of Ithaca...

You haven't been to a drill meet til you've been to the Mardi Gras one, tons of units compete all over, and well, I didn't do drill team for 3 yrs for the competition there if you know what I mean...
