When I left MEPS they told me I was cleared. N33 reviewed my case and they said they couldn’t approve my case due to inadequate color vision. For consideration, that I have to submit a favorable color vision PIP test. I know I’m not colorblind by the way. I still followed their instructions and went to a private doctor and same thing there’s nothing wrong. A day later I submitted my paperwork to my recruiter he then submitted it to N33. How long does it take for them to review? My recruiter submitted it June 30th. And I know it’s holiday weekend the next week idk if that plays a factor. I reached out last week July 2nd Wednesday he told me no news yet. It’s July 7th now at least a week after submission. Should I just wait? How long does this usually take? He told me should be 1-3 days it’s been over that, I was just overthinking now. Trying to get my paper asap since I’m applying for September boards which the final submission for papers are due around this month.

Whats accurate timeframe about this issue for N33 to review the case and get cleared. Some on the forum got cleared the next day. Same issue with mine just a misdiagnosis.

It should only take a few days, but your recruiter is going to be the most knowledgable about this - since they are the most aware of your situation.

After two weeks we finally got a response from Navy Medical Department indicating they won’t accept eye exam that I submitted because it’s not specifically the PIP 14 test plate version. However, I went to the office and asked my recruiter to review my papers with me together and we found out the problem. The MEPS cleared me but they made an error putting the numbers. You have to 14/14 which I did even the comments showed passed. But they put 1 instead of 14 and I know I perfected that colorblind test. Luckily, I was curious enough to ask him to review my papers again and we found out the error or else I’m basically done for SWO. He called one of his peps in the higher ups medical team to expedite the review of my paper so we can submit it before the July 18th. He also emailed them about their incompetence doing their job. I know this is frustrating for me but at least we found silver lining. That took off some burden off my shoulders that I was keep thinking for the last two weeks.
