MEPS Waivers

I searched on this subject and saw people talking about asthma or childhood waivers, but none like my situation and just wondering if anyone out there had to get a waiver such as mine. I realize that each case is differnt and some may take longer than others. I had ankle surgery back in April (so over 6 months ago) and when I went to MEPS the doc said everything looked ok and recommended me for a waiver. There was no hardware put into my ankle. Does anyone have a ballpark figure on that waiting period, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month or longer? Thanks.

And also, does it occur very often that the MEPS doctor recommends a waiver and a waiver is not granted?

I went to MEPS at the end of December last year and had the doc look at my knee that I had arthroscopy on to repair some torn cartilage back in high school. Even with the holiday stand down at Millington I got my final select by the third week of January. It shouldn't really be a big deal as long as nothing was wrong.

Awesome. I hope mine goes as smoothly as yours did, thanks.
