Mildly Different PRT question

I searched, and didn't see anything.

I heard somewhere(cannot confirm) that they boards want to see Actual Run PRT's, anyone know anything about this?

As it stands almost all of my PRTs are swims, I run well enough, just am more comfortable in the water, and as such my last 5 PRTs have been in the water.

Think this will matter?

Thanks!

no no

Yes, I understand that at OCS, I will be running it etc...etc.. Thats not a problem I run just fine, just not my stronger activity.

In regards to my Application, I can still apply and be fine with only swim prts ?

You will have to run the PRT your first week at OCS so they really want to see run times. If you do not make the run in good low time you will be dropped from OCS your first week.

From the Fleet Processors mouth.

"FOR OCS Candidates Only:
On your third week of training you will be required to pass a second Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) with a score of Satisfactory-Medium.
Indoctrination Candidates who fail to score above this will be placed in the Holding Company for physical fitness remediation. The candidate will remain in Holding Company until he/she is able to pass the PFA with the required score. This could extend your stay at OCS for an indefinite amount of time."

+1 for finding a reputable source and not sticking with "well i hear from such and such that ..."

and for the clarification

Yes, Well, as I said I literally copy and pasted from the Fleet Processors email, bad gouge or not, he is the guy that forwards the information to the boards.

Bad gouge or not, we in the already enlisted community don't get the oppurtunity of talking to some officer recruiter, who puts our package together for us and then sends it off, we have to do it all ourselves.

On the civilian side I've been told "Good-low or you don't go" within 30 days of OCS date.
Same here, and one of the guys who did one of my PRTs was an Ensign who said he had had to delay people who couldn't run for shit while they were 30 days out. I'm BDCP, so my standards are good-low anyways though.

But once at OCS, I read on this site (and there's the quote from the guy a bit higher on this thread) that your first PRT/PFA needs to be satisfactory-med. But of course it's probably a lot stricter than a typical pre-OCS PRT.

3ed week? lame.

if you can't pass with a sat-med on the third freaking week you have something seriously wrong with you.

back in the good ole days of what like a few months ago if you didn't pass the PFA on the first tuesday master guns got to have fun with you prior to heading to H.

kind of a kick in the nuts to those who worked hard to get into shape prior to showing up...
