Indeed.
Certainly, it was the day of "iron men and wooden ships".
I'm getting checked out in an SNJ now, and I look at that picture and try imagine going to fight the enemy, in that type of aircraft, in the middle of the ocean,... and probably at the ripe old age of 22.
Most of the folks in DC aren't "worthy to stoop down and until the strap of his sandals."
