Military Flight Physical Counting with the FAA

Anybody know if the FAA has approved the navy flight physical for equivalence with an FAA medical certificate? I heard a rumor that this was in the works, but have heard nothing else.

I believe it's all part of the Part 61 change that's coming down. If so, expect it to take effect 10 Sept 2008. I tried calling the guy at FAA HQ yesterday to ask some questions, but he's out of the office for a few days. I'll post when I get in touch with him.
