Motivational Statement

I'm working on my app. and this is all I have left (Motivational Statement). Should I make my points and keep it short and sweet, or should I go into detail and write a story? What makes a good one, and what makes a bad one? Any tips?

I think the main thing to get across, is the fact that you are sincere about joining the Navy, but do it in a professional way (no begging). And of course, make sure you don't have grammatical/spelling errors

I know that they have a guy who has a responsibility of counting words making sure that you are under the limit. At least thats what I was told by my recruiter last Jan..
