Hey guys,
I have a friend in Iraq who told me that she can be reached by motomail. What is it? Let me know. Thanks.

Basically, you write/type and scan an "old-school" letter (vice e-mail), or write a letter on the website .

Basically, it sends the "hand-written" letter straight from your computer to the Marine's nearest post office. The "forward" post office prints, folds, and addresses the mail, which is then delivered to the Marine at mail call. This cuts out weeks/months of waiting for the letter to go through the regular postal service.

Never tried it, but I'm interested to see how it works.

Don't know about the scanning of the old school letter... When my parents used it when I was in Iraq, they sent an email, or wrote the letter on the website. It works well, takes about 3 days to get it. I don't think with the limited bandwidth that you can scan a hand written letter. Every single one I got was printed out in plain text.
