Moving Okinawa

Our government and Japan's both agreed to move the base in 1996 but the local government blocked it.
They want to move it due to safety but Okinawa's governor says, "His decision came amid deepening resentment among residents of the island over the heavy US military presence".

I don't think they are moving Okinawa. It's very sturdy and difficult to move or tip over, unlike Guam.

you just need maybe 6 ocean going tugs and really strong rope, if you balance it out right it won't tip when you pull, just wobble a bit.
