Does anybody know how much longer OCS is gonna be in Pensacola?? and any ideas on the wait time from acceptance to when you report for your class?

There's a rumor that OCS will move to Newport in mid July, but you'll only know for sure when someone actually tells you to go to Rhode Island. The move to R.I. will happen whenever it happens.

I was final selected on March 10, and I report on April 15. It's seems like most people get more notice than that.

Do you know if you can postpone your date, I'm working for the Republican party and I'm not sure if I should sign me extension contract to run me through the election in November.

My recruiter told me that it was probably going to happen sometime this summer. Im waiting for final select. If he's right then it looks like your going to be headed to Rhode Island. Personally, I'd rather be in P-Cola but I guess OCS is OCS.

I just graduated from OCS a few weeks ago and I seriously doubt it's going to move by this summer. There have been no indications of that.

Yes, yes, and yes! Newport winters suck! We're just now coming out of "winter" even though it's been spring for several weeks. This was my third winter here. It wasn't as bad as the first two ('94 and '99), but still sucked none the less. More snow, less rain, and all the wind to go with it.

The summers, however, can be a very good time indeed. Plenty of bars to choose from. No way you can spend a summer here and still drink at every bar down there. Well, scratch that. Yes you can.

Winter 2000-01, and part of every winter from 01-02 till 04-05. And at least part of every summer from '00 till '04. And you can hit almost every bar in Newport inside of a month... plus some in Providence. Appearantly, that was fun. I can't remember.
