MV-22 deemed ready for Expeditionary Operations

The Marine Corps has anounced that Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (VNN-263) has achieved Initial Operational Capability (IOC) which means that the first Osprey squadron is fully staffed, equipped and trained to be deplyed for Expeditionary Operations. The first deployment is scheduled for fall of 2007 to Iraq.

This should be very interesting. I should be finishing up primary in about 6-7 months (hopefully)...just in time for the next osprey selection(hopefully!). I hope it does well.
