My School doesn't Have NROTC but they do have AFROTC and Army ROTC.

I can't speak for BDCP but for PLC my OSO told me that previously being AFROTC won't score you any points with the board. It may show that you're active out of school but that's about it.

Plus if you're like me, the thorn in your foot that is AFROTC isn't worth it for the "rep." Talk to your recruiter and see what he has to say on the matter.

I went to ERAU and they didn't have NROTC, only AROTC and AFROTC. I joined AFROTC for ONE day, went to a single leadlab and called the commander and cancelled all my appointments, uniform issue etc. I went BDCP and never looked back. DON'T join a ROTC program just to be competetive for BDCP. Just go straight to BDCP and make your app as good as it can be in the traditional ways (GPA, ASTB, LORs etc) and you'll be fine.

Good luck.

Figure out what service you want to join. If you have a great desire to go Navy, do BDCP, not another service's ROTC program to try it out.

Learn from my mistakes.

You mean you survived four years of Llab and the dreaded four weeks of 'field training?' Props to your Sir.
