...and I thought I would make a post for all those people wondering if their package is good enough.

My package was accepted by Supply about two weeks ago and it is still pending on Crypto and Intel. I have not yet signed on the dotted line or even taken the physical (obviously due to the holidays and partly due to my lack of preparation :) ). I know there are a few more hurdles to endure but I’m fairly confident.

Now down to the hard, cold details.

GPA: 3.5

Major: Computer Information Systems

Minor: Business Administrations.

Academic Awards: Deans list once.

Clubs, etc: Student chapter of AITP.

Position Held: Secretary.

Letters of Recommendation: Faculty sponsor for AITP. My best friends father who was in SF for 18+ years.

ASTB Scores: Unfortunately I forgot the details but it was “average” according to my recruiter.

Other Possible Considerations: Was active with sports in High School and received awards. My brother is currently in the Marines (in Iraq), one Grandfather was in the Navy and the other in the Army.

I thought my package was fairly “average” but apparently the board thought otherwise. Something to take from this post: Don’t fret every little thing. I was going to take the test again but as my recruiter said, “They are either going to accept your package or they are going to reject it. You can always take the test again.” Some of you may not feel as comfortable as I am with turning in a slightly flawed package, but I at least had to turn something in otherwise I was going to put it off for another 6-months. Unfortunately you can’t always be perfect and I accepted that.

I hope this helps. If nothing else you can use this as a fair comparison to your package. I wish you all luck in whatever you do!

Congrats brother. I am applying for Intel, NFO, and Supply, with the hopes that I get accepted to Supply, as it is my first choice. We have almost identical packages, I had two more LORs and .1 better GPA in Marketing/Management, but other than that it's all the same. This gives me a lot of hope, my package is going in this coming week, and I have heard the next review board is in January, so I hope to hear something back soon.

Final Select for Supply - 23 Apr 05 class
Congradulations to you. I was pro rec'd in December for Supply as well but I had already completed all of my FINDOCS prior to submission. I'm hoping to hear back regarding final select in January....hopefully.

I am prior service. I was YN2(SW) and got out after nine years so that I could go to school. I have a BAS and an MBA both in business with 3.8 GPA.

My OAR was only a 42.

deja vu!

Jared:
Wow, your stats are almost exactly the same as mine. Same GPA, same major, even everything down to chapter AITP, everything seemed the exact same.
I feel alittle more confident about my app now, though only time would tell. My first time that I did the ASTB, I got a 43 I believe. My OSO thought it better to take it again and see how it goes, I should know this week when everyone is back from the holidays. I put in for SNA, NFO, and intel. Its not about the job specifically, its about being a naval officer.
Good luck!
