Fellow SNAs..I am a December grad (04) going to report June 1st. When i took my aviation physical in april 04 my eyes stigmatism in my right eye was 1.00 cylider, which was the limit for SNA. I am not sure as I have heard rumors that recently things have changed and NAMI is not so bad, the commissioning aviation physical got me SNA and NAMI is checking for fleet standards...any ideas? what would happen if my stigmatism was worse/tested worse at the NAMI? do they have waivers for eyes?

astigmatism seems to change every day... have it checked again by a civilian doc before your NAMI physical and see if you can't get some pointers on improving it... i.e. excessive tv/computer use. there are eye exercises out there claiming to improve it too. good luck.
