Naval Aviation Maintenance vs Marine Corps Aviation Maintenance

So I'm applying to Navy OCS, but the Marine Corps has really shiny buttons. I'm considering going Marine, but a STA-21 friend of mine is talking smack about the Corps' aviation maintenance. Is it true? Are Naval aircraft better maintained than Marine Corps aircraft?

I'm looking for first-hand knowledge, and fact-based claims, please. No inter-service feuds here.

That's a new one ... which service should I choose based on how well the aircraft are maintained ...

Food for thought ... the thing that will kill you 99% of the time in the air will be the guy lookin back in the mirror, not the aircraft breaking (or as your friend might say, shitty maintenance).

Seriously man, you guys actually waste your time with this shit?

Our boys work day and night to keep our planes flying, just like every other maint. department of every squadron within NAVAL aviation (Navy and Marines).
