Navy DOR to Marine OCS, it is possible.

I was a DOR from class 11-08 on a SNA contract. (left because of issues with my ex, long story) I know that most people I was with on the island of misfit toys want to go back, and still hit up these boards. I just received my commission yesterday, and I am on a Air Contract with the USMC. I was actually pretty shocked that welcome aboard was harder than any physical activity at Marine OCS. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me and I will do what I can to help. They also wont know that you were a DOR from the Navy at OCS. I guess they dont forward the whole application packet to them.

Congrats on getting through and commissioned, and let me be the first to get pissed at you about clogging up parking at Camp Barrett until Fox Co. graduates. You have a unique perspective to offer to a lot of people on these boards. How far through Navy OCS did you make it?

Congrats on the commission! It seems like you truly did want it, but circumstances at the time in a VERY strange place made you DOR. I'm sure your knowledges and experience in the DOR process and comparison of experiences between the two OCSs will be invaluable to a good many applicants/DORs on here who really want to be Marines.
