Hello Everyone,

I have in my hand all the information ready to go and mail my package out. The question i have is in what order and in what presentation to mail it out.

in what order does the paper work go?

how should i mail it out?

should it be on a 3 ring binder with plastics on each paper?

staple all of it together and put in an envelope and mail it fedex?

should i use USPS to mail it out?

should i put in a blue "navy" folder and put a rubber band around it and mail it out?

If anyone outhere can tell me how they did it, would be great. Thanks for your help and support.

Sir, He is an LS2 (Active Duty Enlisted) he put his rate/name at the end of the post.

Hey Avalos have you checked out the new 1420.1B (December 09) instruction for us enlisted guys? It is a huge help when it comes to this. http://doni.daps.dla.mil/Directives/01000%20Military%20Personnel%20Support/01-400%20Promotion%20and%20Advancement%20Programs/1420.%201B.pdf Hopefully that link works.

You can actually scan and e-mail your package now! Other possibilities are ofcourse fax or snail mail. On page 42 of the instruction it states:

b. Forward applications to COMNAVCRUITCOM utilizing one of the following methods:

(1) Forward applications via postal mail to:

NAVY RECRUITING COMMAND (N31)
NSA MID SOUTH BLDG 784
5722 INTEGRITY DRIVE
MILLINGTON TN 38054-5057

(2) FAX applications to 901-874-9201/DSN 882

(3) Electronically mail (e-mail) applications to officerapplications@navy.mil.

If you look at page 204 and it states:

Application packages do not require cover letters or enclosure numbering, but should be submitted in the following order:

Check out all of the paperwork in that checklist and make sure you got it in that order. As far as staples, clips, ect... I wouldnt use them. Check with your Career Counselor the best way that He/She mails things out, or your admin department can help you mail it out. Though I believe that your chain was supposed to submit it, I understand having to do things yourself though.

Hope this helps!

Well look at that...I didn't even notice. My bad. However you didn't need to include "active duty enlisted" - I would have gotten that ;)

Now I'm confused. I thought you were a ma'am, 60flyer. Or did you just let that one go?

I just let it go. I rarely correct people on posts - it usually has no impact on what I'm saying. Plus I'm used to it - it's not unusual for me to be called "sir" going through the gate, on the phone, or even in person because it's such a trigger reaction for people <---- I HOPE it has nothing to do with how I look :D:D

But if you PM me or something I'll correct you just for ease (and I also sign my name which makes it easy)

How many Marines do you think would have a screen name of 60flyer?

Not an impossibility...Marines fly the last Sea Kings in service with Naval Aviation and have some 60s as well.
