Hello all who sees this post. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct area, so feel free to direct me to the right forum if need be.
First off, my name is Michael and I stumbled on this site a few weeks ago while doing some searching for OAR study guides. After sifting through some of the threads on here and noticing all the positive posting throughout the site I though this may be a perfect place to get some valuable knowledge. So with that being said, I will get to posting some info about myself here and hopefully get some feedback from some of you guys/gals.
As I said, my name is Michael. I'll be 29 years old in a few months. I have a Bachelors in Biology (2.97 GPA) and a Masters in Biology (3.71 GPA); obviously the Bachelors GPA isn't quite strong, but I'm hoping my Masters GPA will show the boards I am dedicated to bettering myself. OAR score of 44 (I plan on retesting in August and studying more than 2 weeks). I have NJROTC experience from high school (if that matters) and a strong work ethic. Approximately 15-20 hours of volunteer work, looking to put more in. I am looking towards Intel or METOC (or potentially other career fields I may qualify for due to my age if anyone has suggestions). I have a strong admiration for the military being a former Air Force Brat and have wanted to be a Naval Officer for as long as I can remember.
All the searching I've done for OAR study guides comes out in duds, since most reviews for these guides say those books are worthless. My recruiter seems to be confident in my ability to get selected but wants me to get a better OAR score to make my package stronger. He is an officer recruiter, so I feel like I can trust what he's been telling me about the OCS process. He is a reliable resource and has been a great help.
Any thoughts about my potential selection is appreciated, along with any tips for OAR improvement. Thanks in advance everyone!
