Guns!

Okay, I have a string of questions so here goes:

I have a Glock 22 (.40 S&W)

1) Anyone have good suggestions on websites that offer inexpensive ammo?

2) What type of night sites do you recommend?

3) Any recommendations on a holster?

4) I want to take some type of training class, but don't know where to go. I live in Tennessee. Any recommendations on high quality instruction?

5) Is it worth purchasing a Beretta like I will be using once I hit the fleet in order to familiarize myself with it?

1. AIM Surplus or ammoman.com - Check walmart for .40 SW WWB

2. Trijicon as a start - although Glock makes their own tritium sight set that you can purchase everywhere

3. Blackhawk Serpa or COM Kydex - belt or paddle

4. Gunsite

5. Naw!

1) I order from cheaperthandirt.com, haven't had any problems with em.

4) nra.org lists a few courses, not sure what level of instruction you're looking for. Wherever you purchased your weapon would probably be a decent place to look for local instructors.

5) Honestly, if you can (competently) handle one handgun in 9mm/.40/.45/etc, you won't have much of a problem on any others. The beretta is a DA/SA, unlike the glock. If you're not used to a DA/SA triggerpull, I can foresee the transition being annoying, but you don't need to win a shooting tournament to qualify on the M9.

Combating TIP training AGAIN?!
Why not go ahead and purchase one? They are only about $450.00 brand new. One can never have to many guns IMHO. Sig Sauer also makes some nice SA/DA weapons for a few more bucks...

Fobus makes some nice holsters, I like the Roto since you can adjust the angle of the draw depending on what type of carry you want (cross-draw, small of back, etc) and how your hand naturally lies when you grab for the gun.

I also own a Glock 22. Here's my 2 cents.

1) No
2) Glocks
3) Depends on your likes and/or needs. I bought a Bianchi.
4) Send me a PM if you still need info.
5) Probably not, unless you think your life depends on it. I always carried a Kimber .45, but my current employer insists I carry a company sidearm. The Beretta is a quality weapon.

The best in my opinion. I will trade up for one someday, for the time being my Springfield holds its own. Its a not-as-rich mans .45, never had an issue with it. The Beretta is a nice pistol as well. I've found it simple to use and clean - not as simple as a 1911 type, but similar.
