I am taking the test in about 2 hours and I have heard that a question regarding the colors of the lights on a runway at night is on there, can anyone help me out really quick? Thanks

So, if I am guessing correctly, you'll want to know the following:

Taxiways- blue edge lighting. some have green center lining

Runways- white edge lining. some also have white center lining and red center lighting towards the end of the runway.

or, maybe you wanted VASI info?

red over red- below glide path
red over white- on glide path
white over white- above glide path

let me know if that helps
good luck!

Runways mainly have amber centerlining... at least that was the answer that got me a 9 on the PFAR. Also coming from roomie CFI.

What are the questions though?

Thanks for the help, I don't know the exact question, some guy just told me to be sure I knew the colors of the lights on a runway at night.

Another type of VASI is the 4 light system.

4 red lights, 0 white lights: well bellow glide slope
3 red lights, 1 white light: below glide slope
2 red lights, 2 white lights1: on glide slope
1 red lights, 3 white lights: above glide slope
0 red lights, 4 white lights: well above glide slope

I believe I had a question on the above system.

As for the other type of VASI (with the red and white lights on top of each other), here's a good way to remember what's what:

red over red, you're dead (too low)
red over white, you're alright (on glide slope)
white over white, you're outta sight (too high)

Hehe...
