Navy Seahawk's have ECS, in large part to cool the avionics up front. Blackhawks don't have it?

FYI ECS is NOT air conditioning.

It may for all we know be the same thing they are gonna stick in the Lakota but I doubt the average Yahoo news reader would know what ECS is or why its needed and how it isnt just A/C.

Not surprised that some adaptations would need to be made in order make a civilian aircraft compatible with a military role.

ECS is a heck of a lot closer to air conditioning than an open window ;)

It is all in the perception. ECS is a necessity for modern avionics, but if you call it air conditioning it is perceived as a luxury, and you can't waste taxpayer dollars on luxuries.:D
