Hello everyone,
I'm currently a student at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
My major is Computer Engineering and I will be entering my junior year, credit wise, in a few weeks. My GPA at this point in time is 3.3. I'm applying for BDCP Cryptology with Supply as a second choice and plan to go to OCS in Summer of 2008. Unfortunately I was found to be color blind at my MEPS physical so these were practically my only choices, however I would be extremely happy to get either of them.
Anyway some more information about my package:
President of Priest's Quorum of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon)
President of Young Men/Women Program at Church
Excellent LORs from important members of the church and co-workers.
Excellent LOR from work, a branch manager for Washington Mutual Bank.
Eagle Scout
Excellent interview with a cryptology officer who I'm told gave me the highest marks possible on the form.
OAR: 54/5/5/5 (a little low but my recruiter said it was very good)
ACT Composite: 31
I'm told my motivational statement was very well written.
Extensive backround and knowledge in computer hardware, operating systems and networking.
On a side note will the fact that I'm a junior in college but only 18 years old have an effect (hopefully positive) on my app.
And on a side side note thanks for answering all the questions on this board. This is one of the few places I've found to get information on the various officer programs in the NAVY.
