:D I love it when you take an already powerful weapon and make it more powerful... great stuff.
 
Mmmm...I'm glad you cleared that up for me because I was under the impression that the weapon itself was being criticised, not the nation using them. I guess it's all on the former Soviet Union for ruining the use of what the HRW deems disproportionate force for everybody else and has nothing to do with what the weapon does.

Try going back and reading everything you didn't make bold, that should help.:)
 
we have thermo-baric hellfires, about 3 times the size of the warhead that is in the SMAW.
 
Isn't that what the UAV rained down on that technical? I only saw a brief picture of it while I was on deployment, but I remember noticing that there wasn't so much a truck anymore, but just a big black spot in the sand.
 
dont know but a a kilo or a mike wouldnt leave much truck either. Thermobaric does best in an enclosed space so Im guessing not.

I agree ghost; I never knew human rights existed in warefare, especially in the mode the insurgents are fighting in. I mean, cutting heads off and bombings; they kill, and it doesn't matter who. Why do they (human rights activists) not see them as barbaric and sadistic? As far as I am concerned, they deserve whatever we throw at them.

BTW, the SMAW is the sh$t!
Of course, in my day, I was a CAS TACP:D freak. A lot more destruction from the PTT on a radio. Call me lazy, call me sadistic, but it worked.
