Once upon time, allegedly, NIOBC students received their slate around week 8 or 9. This was before group brief grades messed with the ranking of hard-working, studious officers and allowed ample time to house-hunt, research schools for their children, get medicals scheduled, schedule HHG moves, etc. Those days appear to be the lore of times past.
I can only imagine how many plates the detailer spins at once, and as we rolled into 2025, this role was handed off to a new detailer which added yet another layer of grace to be scrounged up by this years' NIOBC graduates.
To help manage expectations for NIOBC students currently in the pipeline, or headed towards it, the slate has been dropping extremely late. This years' classes aren't seeing it until after week 13.
So far, no explanation, rhyme, or reason has been provided so who's to say if it will ever slip back into a reasonable time frame.
Buckle up for the long haul of not knowing what's next until you are staring down the barrel of graduation in week 21.
