By saying NJROTC i suspect you mean NROTC, the college program is completely different from the high school one. As to the qualifications, i am almost 100% sure you have to be 17 to be accepted into the program. During my "O-Week" only about 3 of us were 17, everyone else was 18. The reason for this, is because during the summers you are on reserve active duty and are deployed in the fleet. In the case with SAT's I would say around a 1250 is a good competitive score, that is what i had. And a GPA of 3.3 or higher. Also throw in some leadership capabilities (outside NJROTC) ie: varsity sports captain, or co-captain. Or president of a club or something. The navy loves to see a well rounded person. someone who isnt just about books and military. They also want someone in good physical shape. So start running now. There is no reason going to get a scholarship and then loose it 3 semesters in because you couldnt break the 11 min on your 1.5 mile run. As long as you are a generally well rounded person, and do well in your interview you should do alright. In the interview though, dont try to impress anyone, be youself that is who they want to see. They want to know what type of officer they are going to hire. hope that helped you, good luck with everything.
