NROTC Commission Question

NROTC commissions you into the either the Naval Reserve or USMCR my question is when you serve your active duty requirment do you serve say in the USMC or in the USMCR. I'm confused as to how this works. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You will serve as an active duty officer. Very soon there will be no more USNR and USMCR commisions, everyone will be USN/USMC. You will finish school commision in either service then start training for whatever active duty MOS you get. There have been in the past mostly the early/mid 90's where pople finished ROTC then went right ot the inactive reserves but Im pretty sure those days are over.
