OAR required?

I have asked my CCC and even talked to the area NRD and have been told the OAR is not required for OCS. I am applying for submarines and want to be sure when I submit my package it is complete.

I did a search on OAR and get nothing. Either too broad, or nothing there. Not sure what else I should search.

OAR is output when you take the ASTB test. It's in the format X/X/X/OAR. ASTB results are a requirement of your Officer package.

Off the top of my head, I don't think you have to take the ASTB for NUPOC, so it wouldn't be surprising if you didn't need to take it to go to OCS for subs...If you've got it from the official source (NRD) I'd trust it.

No, NUPOC isn't required to take the ASTB for OCS like everyone else. I was a NUPOC applicant before I saw the light.

Same here, I was NUPOC originally too. ASTB is not required thus the OAR is not required. Good luck with NUPOC/Nuke school! (p.s. check out nukewarriors.com also if you havn't already, some good gouge on subs/ nuke stuff.)

Luckily, I already know what I am getting into. As a Nuke EM, I have been through the pipeline once, so the 2nd time shouldn't be AS bad. It will be different, but not too bad.
