I don't know for sure but I was told that they are using it more now and that I needed to cut between 48-52 to be in the running for supply corps

This site says all you need is a 35 for most programs, but all the recruiters say you should score at least a 50. They should change the test minimums to reflect the needs of the OCS, so people who are taking the test can have more realistic goals towards the ASTB.

That's like saying they should get rid of all PRT categories below outstanding because that's what everyone should shoot for anyway. Like many metrics in life, theres a minimum cut-off and there's a competitive score. It's up to YOU to determine what that is, then do your best. Your OAR is but one of many factors that goes into your selection. Some people's record might be able to get by with a less than competitive score, while others need to compensate for a lackluster package with an impressive OAR. It's not as black and white as you make it out to be.

Um, I didn't make anything out to be a black and white argument, and I'm aware of the fact that the score balances out the package. Once again, thank you for your "valid" opinions, but I'm just pointing out that they should explain that a 50 is an ideal score, and not just the "bare minimum". Now, I'll just stop writing here before we both sound like we are in the special olympics.

They don't change what is on the web site, or other pubs for that matter, because it is a competitive thing, just as Brett said. The competitive OAR varies based on quotas available, number of applicants and what the balance of any given application package looks like. To try to be accurate, they would be changing it so frequently it would be at least as meaningless as the number currently posted.
