OCC air contract?

I can't seem to find the answer on any of the Marine websites. I'm trying to apply for PLC but I'm being held back because I broke my leg last semester. My question is...if I graduate and try applying for OCC, is it the same as PLC in that you apply for ground/air and they guarantee that position as long as you can hack it in training?

I searched on here briefly but I didn't see anything specifically saying so....

Thanks guys.

It is the same process in the sense of the guaranteed contract, but from my experience it is alot more competitive to get the slot. From what I have been told the PLC option is more attractive for USMC HQ because they have an amount of time to plan what to do with those Lt.'s because they commison after they graduate school. However OCC guys commision directly after OCS so they are immediately thrown into the system. For this reason they tend to offer less OCC slots.

Okay, that's awesome. I guess I don't need to worry TOO much. I haven't asked my OSO yet, but what happens if you tell them you're going to graduate such and such a semester but then for whatever reason have to stay another semester? Do they chop your fingers off or what?

To change your expected graduation date, you will simply need to explain why and I think get a letter from your school advisor stating your new grad date. It's not hard.
