OCS process Question

I am before the June selection board and have applied for SNA and NFO. If pro-rec'd I realize that I have to do the PT testing but my question is how soon? I was doing karate a few days ago and got kicked in the butt (literally) and I've bruised my tailbone pretty bad and I can barely even get one sit-up because it hurts like crazy. I just want to be ready to go if I hear anything back and wanted to know how the process usually goes after you hear back? Thanks guys.

Depends on when the board is. If it comes back while you're still injured, let your recruiter know.

I took my PRT/PFT test rougly 45-60 days after recieving word of Pro-Rec. In my case, however, I had a date of availability to begin OCS, that was many months out. I suppose there was not too much of a rush. I have heard, but have not had it verified, that there is a 90 window from Pro-Rec to Final Select.

I am in a similar situation- I was pro-rec'd in April but slightly injured. My recruiter told me we would have to submit some kind of medical explanation if I didn't complete MEPS and PRT within 30 days of the pro-rec.

He said it was best to get both done in the allotted time period, because reporting an injury could slow down an already slow process. So I completed both within 30 days, even though ideally I would have waited a bit longer to heal.
